Malignant Tumor Composition and Angiogenesis, 1999

These medical illustrations depict a large malignant tumor with characteristic abnormal vasculature and the main steps of the angiogenic process, which creates the abundant microvasculature supporting malignant tumors. These illustrations were part of a scientific exhibit discussing tumor physiology and the use of radiological imaging for early detection and improved drug delivery systems. The large “tumor” illustration also serves as an eye-catching image for the exhibit, as well as a future full page spread along with the article publication. These illustrations were produced for a scientific exhibit and journal publication viewed by radiology and oncology professionals.

Certificate of Merit in the Medical Color category. Malignant Tumor Composition and Angiogenesis, AMI Annual National Conference, Professional Salon, Rochester, Minnesota, 2000.
