CIN is one of the leading causes of hospital-acquired acute renal failure. This editorial illustration was used as a poster and cover image for an educational iPad/iPhone Application discussing contrast induced nephropathy.  Contrast induced nephropathy is impaired renal function due to intravenous contrast administration.
